Haiti - Social : End of the free drinking water in 17 camps 07/11/2011 14:24:53 DINEPA explained that the budget allocated to this free distribution for these camps is exhausted, while confirming at the same time, that it will continue its program of drinking water in other areas to improve the living conditions of the population. DINEPA has confirmed that the camp populations concerned had been informed of this suspension of free service. The projects supported by the community of water supply at low prices, conducted to Gomier, one of 15 rural villages in the Grand'Anse involved in this type of project, show that the population is perfectly able to pay for a water service [at low price] and that lasting solutions exist.
