The Ministry for the Status of Women and Women's Rights (MCFDF) celebrated yesterday Tuesday, its 17th birthday. An opportunity for the Minister of MCFDF, Yanick Mézil to advocate for the emancipation and empowerment of women which represent the majority of the population in Haiti "...17 years of struggle valiantly led by women [...] today, the battle that we will conduct for all women, it is for the economic freedom of women [...] so that their rights be respected. As long as we do not win the economic battle, we cannot win other battles [...]"

A Mass of thanksgiving was sung in the local of MCFDF in the presence of many personalities and parliamentarians.
