Expeditious popular justice

The South-East Police, during an intervention carried out this Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 in Mare-Briole, 2nd municipal section of Belle-Anse, an armed individual tried to escape by shooting at the crowd, injuring the foot a 26 year old citizen. Despite the efforts of the South East Police, they were unable to calm an angry mob who lynched the bandit.

The PM wants more freedom for the PNH

Prime Minister Garry Conille intends to grant more freedom to act to the High Command of the Haitian National Police (PNH) in its fight against armed gangs. He recalls that even before the arrival of the Multinational Mission, operations will be carried out by the PNH, specifying that the Haitian army will also be mobilized alongside the Police.

Underfunded humanitarian emergency plan

Of the 674 million dollars planned in the 2024 humanitarian emergency plan for Haiti, only 142 million (21%) are currently available, according to statistics communicated by the United Nations.

The President of the CPT speaks with the French Ambassador
