Haiti - FLASH : Imminent deployment of the Mission, a PNH delegation to the Kenyan
Tuesday June 18, 2024, a delegation of the Haitian National Police (PNH) led by Divisional Commissioner Joachim Prophète, was in Nairobi, Kenya to discuss the imminent deployment in Haiti of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS) in Haiti.

The Inspector General (IG) of the Kenyan police Japhet Koome, speaking after meeting the Haitian delegation on Tuesday, reiterated to the delegation, his commitment to the mission in Haiti "he National Police Service (NPS) remains committed to collaboration in the mission, for the good of the people of Haiti, especially women and children," Koome said.

Joachim Prophète assured him that Haiti would give the Kenyan contingent all the necessary support to make the mission a success and declared "We are counting on your support for the good of the people of Haiti, especially women and children."

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Inspector General(DIG) of the Kenya Police Service, Douglas Kanja KIROCHO, and the DIG, Noor Gabow, of the Administration Police Service which is the principal NPS officer of the mission in Haiti.

These discussions aimed to ensure perfect coordination between the security forces of the two nations as part of the multinational mission.

Currently, preparations are underway and Kenyan officers are expected to leave the country for Haiti in the coming days.
