Monday July 1st, 2024 in the morning, at the headquarters of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Prime Minister Conille on an official visit to the United States accompanied by Ketleen Florestal Minister of Finance, Haitian Chancellor Dominique Dupuy, and Ronal Gabriel Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) spoke with Ana Maria Ibañez, Vice President for Sectors and Knowledge, and Advisor to Amanda Glassman, Vice President of the IDB.

Alfred Metellus, Haiti's representative to the IDB, took part in the discussions while IDB President Ilan Goldfajn spoke by videoconference.

At the end of the meeting Conille announced that IDB officials had agreed to authorize the disbursement of $40 million to finance priority projects for Haiti.

"I thank the Inter-American Development Bank for its commitment to Haiti and the provision of 40 million dollars for this year. We will review the portfolio to align it with the new priorities before the elections and co-organize with other partners a major financing mobilization meeting for Haiti with the participation of the private sector," declared Garry Conille.
