The Consular Mission also indicates that "as part of its commitment to accompany all Haitian community organizations in their approach, that it partners to the Haitian Congress to Fortify Haiti and other local organizations to celebrate on Friday, November 18, 2011 this important date in the history of our country. This event will be held from 7:00 pm at the Levy Center located at 300 Dodge Avenue, Evanston, Illinois. On the program: several speakers, patriotic songs, poems, music. Snacks and refreshments will be offered. Also to mark this important date, the Mission will address on Sunday, 20 November on the 1590AM and 1590haiti.com from 6:00 to 8:00 pm a topic entitled : The Haitian victory to the Battle of Vertières, a turning point in the history of humanity."
