FLASH : The Mission receives armored vehicles and helicopters

Kenyan police officers who will fight gangs in Haiti alongside the Haitian National Police (PNH) have received more equipment to improve their operations. Equipment arriving from USA this past weekend included armored personnel carriers and helicopters. Mission officials said it also received protection kits that will be used in operations.

Jérémie : The Government Commissioner replaced

The Government Commissioner (CG) of Jérémie, Me André Marie Pyram, was placed on leave without pay by the Minister of Justice Carlos Hercule. He will be replaced by Deputy Commissioner Jean Marie Alexandre Guetchens. The dismissal of Me André Marie Pyram was demanded by the Departmental Initiative against Child Trafficking and Trafficking (IDETTE) for "arbitrary and illegal arrests and spectacular release of accused persons."

D1 Championship, 2024-2025 season

The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) announces the organization of the first division championship for the new season which will extend from the first week of September 2024 to May 2025, aligning with the calendars of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). The FHF maintains the special formula with 3 groups of 6 teams on the basis of their geographical proximity due to insecurity.
