Haiti - Paris 2024 Olympic Games : Presidential Advisor Smith Augustin in Paris

As part of the promotion of sport and sustainable development, as well as the strengthening of Haiti's international relations, Presidential Advisor Smith Augustin left Haiti for Paris to participate in various events related to the opening of the Olympic Games.

During his stay, Augustin will meet with Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) to discuss Francophone projects and initiatives for sustainable development and cooperation between member countries.

Augustin will also participate in the Summit on Sport and Sustainable Development, a key event that will bring together world leaders to discuss the importance of sport as a vector for social and economic development.

As a guest of honor, Advisor Augustin will attend the dinner hosted by the President of the International Olympic Committee. An opportunity to strengthen ties between Haiti and the international Olympic movement.

During his stay, Augustin will have several bilateral meetings with representatives of partner countries to discuss cooperation and joint projects. He will also participate in the reception hosted by President Emmanuel Macron, an opportunity to strengthen Franco-Haitian relations.

Finally, he will hold a talk with representatives of the Haitian community in France, an opportunity to discuss upcoming constitutional reforms in Haiti and to listen to the concerns and suggestions of the Haitian diaspora.
