The 2024 international humanitarian appeal for Haiti is less than 25% funded after more than 6 months, with only $161 million received so far out of the $674 million needed Green Jobs Moïse Fils Jean Pierre, Minister of the Environment, has a discussion meeting with Pierre Gérard Vauthier, the new Representative in Haiti of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). This meeting allowed the Minister to discuss the government’s major environmental priorities, with a particular emphasis on the urgency of implementing initiatives that can contribute to social healing through the creation of green jobs. The Minister highlighted some key actions that will be supported by the Ministry, including a reforestation campaign, forest inventory, as well as the implementation of policies and strategies to combat climate change.
