Edgard Leblanc Fils, President of the Transitional Council, is back in the country after having participated in the 47th Ordinary Meeting of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of CARICOM, held in Saint George (Grenada), from July 28 to 30, 2024.

Edgard Leblanc Fils took the opportunity to discuss the strengthening of Haiti's relations with CARICOM, particularly with regard to the Single Market and the Economy, which includes components such as the free movement of people, regional transport, the common external tariff, community rules of origin, the advancement of the CARICOM agri-food system, as well as the resolution of regional conflicts such as the border disputes between Belize and Guatemala and Venezuela and Guyana.
