Haiti - Opinion : 8th edition of the text and reporting competition
The Citizen Protection Office launched the 8th edition of the Text and Reporting Human Rights Competition on the occasion of International Human Rights Day.

Category A (journalist, a subject of your choice) :
- How can the press contribute to improving the image of Haiti outside and also promoting national culture?

- Carry out a multimedia report or write a text on a human rights issue.

Formalities :
- No prior registration is required for participation in the competition
- Sound or visual audio media: 3 to 5 minutes
- A letter of recommendation or his press card affected

Category B Students (a subject to choose from) :
- Demonstrate, from concrete explanations how corruption can hinder the enjoyment of economic, social and cultural rights.

- How should we effectively support the fight against gender-based violence in Haiti ?

- Present the general principles defined by the High Commissioner (UNHCR) to refugees in wartime and migratory flows aimed at the protection of human rights.

Formalities :
- No prior registration is required for participation in the competition
- a letter of recommendation or its student card

Category C (schoolchildren), a subject of choice :
- "Read, young people ... Read to educate yourself to learn to become better than us" says Dr. Jean Price Mars. By relying on these words bring out the importance of reading in training, it is citizen education for young people and children.

- How can children contribute to the rejection of discrimination and violence in Haitian society ?

- Why should we fight everywhere and in all circumstances for respect for human dignity ?

Formalities :
- No prior registration is required for participation in the competition
- Participants must be from 3rd secondary to philosophy or from NS1 to NS4.
- A letter of recommendation from the frequented school or identification card proving its membership in the school.

Instructions to be observed
1. The work of the participant must be original. The references of the quotes mentioned must be given;

2. The text must be written in French or Creole;

3. The format required for the texts is as follows:
- Recto text only
- Times New Roman
- Police: 12
- Place: 1.5
- Sheet 8 1/2 x 11;

4. Number of pages for texts : 2 to 4 pages;
