Haiti - Politic : Installation of the members of the Steering Committee of the National Conference

Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Villa d'Accueil, the President of the Transitional Council Edgard Leblanc Fils, in the presence of the Minister of Justice Me Carlos Hercule, as well as other personalities, proceeded during a ceremony to the installation of the 6 members of the Steering Committee of the National Conference : Enex Jean-Charles, President, Joram Vixamar, member, Amary Joseph Noël, member, Mrs. Norah Jean François, member, Mrs. Widline Pierre, member and Gédéon Charles, member.
During the ceremony, President Edgard Leblanc Fils, stressed that the National Conference, during its deliberations, will adopt resolutions that will guide the development of normative texts and orientations for three crucial projects aimed at stabilizing the country : the revision of the Constitution, the definition of a new social project for the rebuilding of Haiti, and the overhaul of relations between the State and society, in particular with civil society, political parties, as well as the main reforms of the legal and political system.
For his part, Enex Jean-Charles, President of the Steering Committee, affirmed that the Committee will work exclusively in the national interest, aiming to restore the social fabric, without being influenced by sectoral interests.
