The Office of Communication of the Presidency informs that the ceremony of transfer of power between the outgoing President of the Transitional Council Edgard Leblanc Fils and the new rotating President, Councilor Leslie Voltaire will take place this Monday, October 7, 2024 from 2:30 p.m. at the Villa d'Accueil.

PM hopes for help from UAE

"We are going to the United Arab Emirates, at the invitation of Vice President Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (also Prime Minister)," Conille said before leaving the country, "we will discuss a regular flow of technology, technical assistance and equipment to equip the police and the army. Our security forces need drones, armored vehicles, sophisticated rifles to win the battle. We will discuss with the Emirati authorities to have this regular flow to speed up the process of restoring security."
