Haiti - FLASH : Prime Minister Conille's life threatened

The Ministry of Justice and Public Security informs that, according to the information at its disposal, individuals acting on behalf of certain sectors intend to do everything to sow more disorder and panic in the country by attacking in particular the life of the Prime Minister of the Government, Garry Conille and certain members of his ministerial cabinet.

Based on this concordant and persistent information, the Ministry urged the judicial and police authorities to take appropriate measures to ensure respect for republican order and protect the lives and property of all, particularly those of state servants.

In accordance with the commitments made in the Political Agreement of April 3rd, 2024, the Government continues to mobilize all necessary resources and energies to counter the actions of criminal gangs that poison the daily lives of citizens through their terrorist and deleterious actions.

The Ministry invites the population to remain calm and serene while continuing to support the national security forces, aided by the troops of the Multinational Mission in their tireless efforts aimed at restoring peace and public security throughout the national territory.
