A historic exploit for Corventina

On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, Haitian star Melchie Dumornay, aka "Corventina", scored a 46-meter lob for Olympique Lyonnais in the Champions League against AS Roma's Romanian goalkeeper, Camelia Ceasar, where King Pelé himself had failed in the World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico, on June 3rd, 1970. Since then, in 54 years, all competitions, genders and categories combined, there have only been about fifteen successes in this shot, which is known to be relatively difficult to execute because the dosage allowing the ball to fall back inside the playing area or into the goal without being intercepted takes into account various variables. The author of this gesture must, in a very short period of time, take into account the opposing position and his own position on the ground to succeed, hence the phenomenal scale of the remarkable feat of "Corventina".

DR : Theft of weapons and ammunition

Weapons and ammunition from the arsenal of the Dominican police have been stolen and sold to gangs in Haiti. Two weeks ago, Faride Virginia Raful Soriano, the Dominican Minister of the Interior and Police, announced investigations after being alerted by the Haitian National Police (PNH). Dominican police officers, including at least one high-ranking officer, are allegedly involved in this arms trafficking network.

The appointment of the new PM, a political coup ?

On Friday, November 15, 2024, a delegation from the December 21 Agreement met with the CARICOM Group of Eminent Persons (GPE), "[...] We reiterated that the political operation that led to the choice of Mr. Alix Didier Fils Aimé as Prime Minister represents a political coup against the founding principles of the Transition https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43608-haiti-flash-illegal-revocation-prime-minister-conille-reacts-open-letter.html . This is our position of Principle. We must straighten out the transition through dialogue and consultation," declared Me André Michel.
