On Thursday, November 21, 2024, a large deployment of police officers involving special units including the PNH Intervention Group (GIPNH), SWAT and the Intervention and Maintenance Corps (CIMO) went on the offensive in Bas Delmas in the territory of Jimmy Chérizier alias "Barbecue."

During the intense exchanges of fire with the police, several bandits were fatally injured including "Ti Chinay" and "Ti Dyab" the latter being known for his hijackings of trucks transporting fuel, and containers of food products, both were active members of the "Viv Ansanm" coalition and close allies of "Barbecue".
