Haiti - Cooperation : Monitoring of achievements financed by the European Development Fund
This week, at the Office of the National Authorizing Officer of the European Development Fund (BONFED), an important presentation was made to Raphaël Hosty, Minister of Public Works, by Charles Jean Jacques, National Authorizing Officer of the EDF.

This presentation highlighted the progress of projects financed by the 10th and 11th EDFs, contributing significantly to the development of the road network and the improvement of urban governance in Haiti.

Notable among others :

Works on the RN3 :
Rehabilitation of 44 km of roads, construction of urban bypasses (Hinche and Saint-Raphaël) and engineering structures (bridges and culverts) reaching a progress rate of 95%.

URBAYITI Project :
Development of development plans for several cities and construction of drainage works, public spaces and urban facilities to strengthen local resilience and governance.

Institutional strengthening :
Provision of equipment to the Ministry of Public Works, training courses for engineers and topographers and launch of an archiving, documentation and training center.

These achievements demonstrate the commitment of BONFED and its partners to the progress and modernization of Haitian infrastructure, while laying the foundations for better governance and a promising future for Haiti.
