The Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), convinced of the potential of youth, wishes to listen to the voices, suggestions and creative ideas of young people to build a better future together.

Objective of the Contest :

The contest aims to encourage the active participation of young people in the development of their communities. Participants are invited to submit creative proposals (video, art, photography) that highlight the needs of young people in vulnerable neighborhoods. The objective is to promote the involvement of young people in decision-making and to foster the development of sustainable solutions for their communities.

Who can participate ? :

All young Haitians between 15 and 30 years old, alone or in teams of 2 or 3 people.

Those under 18 must indicate in the application form the name and contact information of a responsible adult (at least 18 years old) who can accompany them.

Choose one of the following theme questions :

- If you were President of Haiti for a day, how would you help the youth in your neighborhood?

- If you were an alien from another planet and landed in Haiti, what needs would you discover among the youth in your neighborhood?

- If you owned a large space in your neighborhood (for example, a center with a large room or an open space), how would you use it to help and engage the youth in your area and your age?

Choose a category :

Video : 1 minute maximum.

Photography: Accompanied by a description of 500 characters maximum. Individual applications only.

Artistic work : Artistic creation (painting, sculpture, singing/song, dance) accompanied by a description if necessary of 500 characters maximum.

Prizes :

Winners will be selected by a jury composed of a FAES representative, a video expert and an influencer. The jury will evaluate the submissions according to the following criteria:

- Originality and creativity;

- Relevance to the questions asked;

- Potential impact on the community.

First Prize in each category : a laptop

The Prizes will be awarded to the winners during an evening in Port-au-Prince with DJ, snacks and special guests.
