Haiti - FLASH : Which countries can you travel to without a visa with a Haitian passport?

According to the information available on the visa policies and requirements of each destination, these for Haitian passports are classified into five groups :

Visa-free access to countries :

Holders of a Haitian passport can travel without a visa to 16 countries in 2024. However, it is important to note that the duration of stay and the authorized travel purposes of Haitian citizens are subject to the respective regulations of each country. It is essential to check whether a visa is required for longer stays or for purposes not included in the visa exemption policy of the destination country :

Access to countries with Visa on arrival :

Haitian citizens are entitled to a visa upon arrival in 31 countries In most cases, the visa can be obtained at the airport or border entry point upon arrival. Fees, validity and length of stay may vary by country. Electronic Travel Authorization :

Holders of Haitian passports are eligible to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), a digital document required for visa-exempt travelers in a specific country and which can be obtained online before traveling to the following 2 countries :

Other countries have ETA systems, with authorization usually granted within hours or a few days. However, sould be noted that eTA eligibility varies depending on the traveler's nationality and the destination country, so it is always advisable to check the specific entry requirements of the destination country based on your nationality, before planning your trip.

Online Electronic Visa Requirement :

46 countries require Haitian citizens to apply for an electronic visa(eVisa) before traveling. The eVisa can be applied for online. The process of obtaining an eVisa typically involves filling out an online form, providing personal and passport information, uploading the necessary documents (such as a passport-size photo), and paying the visa fee. Once the application is reviewed and approved, the eVisa is sent to the applicant via email, in PDF or other electronic format. The traveler should print a copy to take with them on their trip. eVisa requirements may vary depending on the traveler's nationality and the destination country. It is important to check the specific visa requirements in the destination country before planning your trip.
