Haiti - Politic : A high-level Haitian delegation in Italy

On Thursday, December 5, 2024, Presidential Advisor Frinel Joseph, at the head of a high-level Haitian delegation, left the country for Venice, Italy, to participate from December 6 to 7 in the 141st plenary session of the European Commission for Democracy through Law, better known as the Venice Commission.

The objective of this mission is to strengthen the support of international partners for the constitutional reform project and the organization of the next elections in Haiti.

Frinel Joseph, representing the Transitional Council, is accompanied by Enex Jean-Charles, President of the Steering Committee of the National Conference and Constitutional Reform and Patrick Saint-Hilaire, President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), will participate in the plenary sessions of the Venice Commission and will meet with representatives of international organizations.

Members of the Haitian delegation will also hold bilateral meetings with international partners committed to supporting Haitian democratic institutions.
