Haiti - Security : Joint denial by the PNH and the MSS

The Haitian National Police (PNH) and the Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission formally deny rumors circulating on social media suggesting that the two police forces are not working in perfect harmony in police operations against armed gangs.

The PNH and the MSS specify that they always plan and conduct police operations jointly on the ground, according to the mandate of the Multinational Security Support Mission, which aims to support the Haitian National Police in the fight against banditry in Haiti.

Furthermore, regarding the allegations that Kenyan police officers accuse their PNH counterparts of colluding with gangs, which sometimes weakens operations, the PNH and the MSS invite the population not to be intoxicated by this false information that only aims to discredit the work of the two police forces for the benefit of criminal and terrorist gangs.

The Haitian National Police and the MSS, as well as all their troops, work harmoniously, cooperate and coordinate very well as two professional forces to ensure that the Haitian people enjoy Peace.

The propaganda that is being orchestrated will not distract the attention of the PNH and the MSS in their fight against gangs, especially during the operations in the coming days.

The PNH and the MSS will continue to work together to ensure the security of the Haitian population, while reiterating their determination to fight armed gangs to their last entrenchments.
