On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé chaired a crucial meeting of the National Police High Council (CSPN), as part of the fight against the insecurity that is plaguing our Nation.

This meeting was held in the presence of Ministers Patrick Pelissier (Justice and Public Security), Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé (Interior), Rameau Normil Acting Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), as well as Frantz Thermilus Chief Inspector General.

Discussions focused on recent tragic events, including the massacres of Warf Jérémie https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43828-haiti-flash-bloody-reprisals-by-the-gran-grif-gang-in-petite-riviere.html and Petite Rivière de l’Artibonite https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43828-haiti-flash-bloody-reprisals-by-the-gran-grif-gang-in-petite-riviere.html , as well as strategic actions such as the recovery of the Solino area and the planned operations in "Bas de la Ville" and Artibonite.

Aware of the urgency and magnitude of the problem, the CSPN has developed a rigorous action plan to :

• Eradicate banditry and crime in all their forms;

• Restore a climate of peace and stability throughout the territory;

• Guarantee the free movement of people and goods, particularly in critical areas, including the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince.

Prime Minister Fils-Aimé reiterated his firm commitment to act with determination to definitively resolve the security crisis, stating :

"Peace and stability are not options; they are imperatives. My Government will take all necessary measures, urgently, to restore order and security throughout the national territory."

The Government calls for the unity and resilience of the population and undertakes to keep it informed of the progress made in the implementation of these actions, while reaffirming that the security of the Haitian people remains at the heart of the priorities of its administration.
