Elections : The CEP is now complete with 44% women (list)

Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Port-au-Prince School of Magistrates, Leslie Voltaire, President pro tempore of the Transitional Council, accompanied by Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, Pédrica Saint-Jean, Minister of Women's Affairs and other personalities attended the swearing-in and installation ceremony of the last 2 missing advisers to complete the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) : Ms. Rose Thérèse Magalie Georges (Representative of Human Rights) and Ms. Yves Marie (Representative of Women's Rights).

List of the 9 CEP advisers :

• Ms. Schnaida Adely : Representative of the Voodoo Communities;

• Patrick Saint-Hilaire : Representative of the Episcopal Conference of Haiti;

• Peterson Pierre-Louis : Representative of the Reformed Faiths;

• Ms. Marie Florence Mathieu : Representative of the University Council;

• Jacques Desrosiers : Representative of the Journalists' Associations;

• Jaccéus Joseph : Representative of the Farmers' Associations;

• Nemrod Sanon : Representative of the unions;

• Ms. Rose Thérèse Magalie Georges : Representative of human rights;

• Ms. Yves Marie : Representative of women's rights.

44% of the Advisers are women.

In his remarks, Leslie Voltaire greeted and congratulated the two new members who completed the CEP. He also took the opportunity to ask the entire team to work as quickly as possible to organize the elections at the end of 2025.
