Haiti - Politic : Petra Nemcova appointed Honorary Consul of Haiti in Prague 02/12/2011 15:26:33
Petra Nemcova said she was "very honored to be named Consul" explaining that she plans to work to closer the ties between the tow countries by encouraging the Czech investors to invest in Haiti. "I will not miss this appointment with history [...] a task that is not easy" she admits, smiling and confident. This is the first of a list of foreign dignitaries who should obtain the status of honorary consul, in the coming days, in order to develop the new channel of promotion of country as part of the new business diplomacy promoted by Chancellor, who states that these appointments, cost nothing to the Haitian state. In addition, the Minister Lamothe announced the forthcoming opening of an Embassy of Haiti in Ethiopia, to allow Haiti to become a member of the African Union.
