Haiti - Economy : Economic Decentralization and Regional Planning
Fair-Expo 2011 is held this Saturday and Sunday at Hinche under the theme "Economic Decentralization and Regional Planning" at the initiative of several organizations including the Civil Society Initiative (CSI) and the Haitian Council of Non State Actors (CONHANE). This Fair-Expo 2011 aims to promote a modern vision of the country and show the economic and tourism potential of the Central Plateau.

Michael Pollack, Spokesman of the European Union in Haiti said she was satisfied of this event while stressing the importance of investments of the European Union (EU) in the Central Plateau to the profits of small and medium enterprises. Financed up to UAS$43.000 by the EU, this fair is an opportunity to meet artisans from the 'haut' and 'bas' 'plateau'.


Kyss Jean Marie, the resident of the Chamber of Commerce of the Central Plateau has explained all the tourism potential of his region favorable to investment in this sector citing among others, the 13 caves, waterfalls, Lake Péligre as poles of tourist attractions considerable.
