![]() Haiti - Economy : 2024-2025 Amending Budget to Combat Insecurity and Relaunch the Economy 30/12/2024 09:33:56
In a context of unprecedented multidimensional crisis, this amending budget is an essential lever to meet the challenges facing Haiti. It directly responds to the priorities defined by the Prime Minister, in particular the restoration of security, economic recovery and mobilization in favor of the most vulnerable sectors of the population. Priority strategic axes : The framework letter defines the objectives and principles that will guide government action, structured around five strategic axes: 1- Public and national security : An urgent and coordinated response to restore peace and ensure internal stability; 2 - Economic recovery and infrastructure : Stimulating growth, boosting employment, rehabilitating critical infrastructure and improving food security; 3 - Constitutional revision and national dialogue : A modernized institutional framework and strengthened national cohesion; 4 - Rule of law and justice : Strengthening judicial institutions and promoting equity for all; 5 - Organization of elections : Preparing transparent and inclusive elections, essential to restoring democratic legitimacy. An ambitious and responsible budget : Aware of budgetary constraints and the high expectations of the population, the Government places rigor, transparency and efficiency at the heart of this process. This amending budget aims to stabilize macroeconomic imbalances, respond to humanitarian emergencies and lay the foundations for sustainable and inclusive transformation. Ministries and institutions are invited to align their projects with this vision, by promoting concrete and feasible initiatives likely to attract funding, both national and international. Call for national unity : This amending budget reflects the Government's desire to mobilize all the country's vital forces to overcome the current crises together. The Prime Minister recalls that the success of this initiative depends on close collaboration between all sectors of society and on the ability of the public administration to optimize the use of available resources.
