Haiti - Sports : Before the end of summer 2012, each department will have its sports center
Earlier this week, Olivier Martelly, Advisor to the Head of State for Youth and Sports, made a visit to the park Saint-Jean de Gressier where are continuing the rehabilitation work. Works with international standards achieved by the firm Secosa for a cost of USD$445,000. These sports facilities, fully electrified, will be equipped with toilets, a football field, a basketball court, of volleyball, tennis and bleachers for over 2,000 spectators.

"... We are working to provide the country with sports facilities. By summer 2012, [...] each department will have its sports center. It will have a football and a field of basketball," declared Olivier Martelly who added that the works for Jérémie began Wednesday, November 30 and those of Thomonde and Verrettes will be started in the coming days.

Jean René Roosevelt, the Minister of Youth and Sports, who accompanied Olivier Martelly, reiterated his commitment to helping the Presidency to achieve its objectives by making available to youth, sports facilities.
