Bandits attempt to take control in Kenscoff

On Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, armed individuals from the "Viv Ansanm" coalition attempted to take control in the commune of Kenscoff and the Taras neighborhoods. The clashes took place in Makako, a strategic area that connects key points such as Savanna Pistache and "Granravin". Control of these areas is crucial due to their strategic and territorial importance. The failed attack triggered intense armed clashes between gang members and local police forces, supported by popular defense militias...

The Mayor of P-a-P visits injured police officers

On Wednesday, January 1st, 2024, Ralph Youri Chevry, the President of the Interim Executive Council of Port-au-Prince, visited the police officers injured in recent attacks by armed gangs. During this visit, the mayor took the time to listen to the concerns of the police officers and showed them his unconditional support. Chevry did not fail to salute their courage and commitment faced the many challenges they face in the exercise of their duties. He reaffirmed his desire to strengthen the resources made available to them in order to enable them to fight more effectively against the insecurity that seriously affects the municipality of Port-au-Prince.

Solidarity Day for displaced persons
