With the mission of ensuring order and security throughout the territory, the Haitian National Police (PNH) is engaged on several fronts in a series of operations and interventions aimed at putting an end to the criminal actions of armed gangs...
The PNH explains "Different specialized units are engaged with bravery and determination in the fight against organized crime. Significant progress has already been made, particularly in the Artibonite department where the National Police has regained control of several territories occupied by armed gangs for some time.
In addition, in the West department, the National Police continues to take concrete action aimed at dismantling armed gangs. The police are engaged in tracking down armed gangs in the commune of Tabarre, more precisely in Sainte-Philomène and Clercine; in the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets, more precisely in Santo and Croix-des-Missions; and in downtown Port-au-Prince [...]"
