Haiti - 15th of the 2010 earthquake : «Today, we remember…»
"On this day of commemoration, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé pays tribute with deep emotion to the memory of the thousands of victims of the earthquake of January 12, 2010. This tragic day, marked by immeasurable pain, left behind broken lives, grieving families and a deeply wounded country. Today, we remember not only to honor those we lost, but also to rekindle hope and remind each of us of the importance of unity and solidarity.

The memory of January 12 must not only revive the pain of the past, but also fuel our desire for change. This tragic tragedy reminds us of the urgency of rethinking the way we live, work and build our country. Change can only come about if we choose to learn from this past and act courageously, with hope and determination.

In honoring the memory of those who died, we have a responsibility to take concrete and lasting action to build a better future. It is together, by making bold choices, that we can restore Haiti's dignity and greatness.

January 12 is a powerful reminder : only unity can allow us to overcome our challenges. Today more than ever, we must overcome our differences and work together, hand in hand, to build a country that lives up to our dreams. Haiti's future depends on our ability to unite, to put the general interest at the heart of our decisions, and to build a strong and just nation for all.

This day of remembrance is also a day of hope. In remembering the victims, we commit to building a stronger, more united, and more resilient Haiti. We must remember that our country will not perish if we unite and take our responsibilities together. May this January 12th be the starting point of a new era, where the memory of the tragedy nourishes our desire to build a future where everyone can live with dignity.

'Ayiti pap peri si nou pran responsabilite nou ansanm'"
