Haiti - Politic : Squabbles within the Alternative

Evans Paul, leader of the Konvasyon Inite Demokratik (KID) admitted on Saturday that there are disputes within the Alternative platform which is composed of the OPL, Fusion and KID. The problem is of a personal nature according to Mr. Paul, there is a conflict between Sauveur Pierre Étienne, General Coordinator of the Struggling People's Organization (OPL) and the Senator of Centre Edmonde Supplice Beauzile, president of the Fusion since the latter attended a meeting organized by the President Michel Martelly with some leaders of political parties, and that without having concerted the leaders of the Alternative.
Paul Evans stated that neither the Struggling People's Organization (OPL), nor the Fusion of Social Democrats or the KID envisage to withdraw from the Alternative, no outbreak of the platform has been mentioned. Mr. Paul indicates that the leaders of these parties are determined to find a compromise, so that the Alternative remains an "alternative for the country and the people of Haiti," stressing that it is necessary to "overcome the small internal problems and give the platform the ability to deal with the more fundamental problems, those of the country."
