The private Haitian airline Sunrise Airways has confirmed that the resumption of cargo flights between Cap-Haïtien and Port-au-Prince has been effective since Thursday, January 16, 2025. Embassy of Haiti in Washington closed The Embassy of Haiti in Washington D.C. will be closed on January 20, 2025 due to the Martin Luther King Day Federal Holiday. Regular activities will resume on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. DR : 14,633 Haitians returned to Haiti The General Directorate of Migration reports that 14,633 Haitians in an irregular migratory situation were returned to Haiti in the first 15 days of this year (deported and repatriated), an average of 975 Haitians per day. These operations were carried out in coordination with members of the Dominican Air Force and Navy, the National Police, the military unit of the Ciudad Tranquila Operational Force (CIUTRAN) and the Public Ministry.
