Haiti - FLASH : Trump's position on the mission in Haiti

On Sunday, January 26, 2025, Kenyan President William speaking at the 4th Annual Convention of the Assembly of the Global Cathedral Church at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC) in Nairobi, announced that President Donald Trump supports the Kenyan-led Multinational Mission in Haiti. Putting and end to the doubts about the future of the UN-backed mission, funded mainly by the United States, after Trump was inaugurated as President of the United States on January 20.

According to Ruto, although the discussion on the deployment of the police force to Haiti was held with former President Joe Biden, the support did not end with the change of the US Government.

According to Ruto, "There is a special bond of friendship between the United States and Kenya. The US is a blessing to our nation, and we work together in many aspects."

Ruto who did not fail to congratulate President Trump for his support for the Kenyan-led mission in Haiti said, "I am very proud that even President Trump, with this new administration, supports Kenya’s mission in Haiti to support the women and children of that nation to experience peace and stability."
