On Wednesday, January 29, after his meeting at the Élysée with the President of France Emmanuel Macron, Leslie Voltaire, President pro tempore of the Transitional Council in Haiti, was the guest of RFI and France 24.

At the microphone of Marc Perelman and Arnaud Pontus, he spoke about the security crisis, saying he disagreed with António Guterres, the Secretary General of the UN who in his last report had declared "[…] Any further delay or operational gap in the provision of international support to the national police, whether within the framework of the Mission or bilateral assistance, runs the risk of a catastrophic collapse of national security institutions. Voltaire, wanting to be reassuring, stated that the police were keeping control of the capital Port-au-Prince, thanks in particular to external aid. He said he was also counting on the continuation of American development aid (which Donald Trump has suspended). Furthermore, he stated that the gangs were retreating on several fronts in the face of the actions of the police.

He also specified, among other things, during this interview, that the presidential, legislative and municipal general elections will take place around November 15, 2025.
