Haiti - FLASH : A new Kenyan contingent heading to Haiti

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, after several months of training and drills, 168 additional soldiers from the Paramilitary General Service Unit, eager to begin their mission, were welcomed on the tarmac of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (formerly Nairobi International Airport), by senior Kenyan Government officials who greeted the men of the contingent, recalling Kenya's continued commitment to supporting Haiti's security.
At around 1:00 a.m. (Kenya time), this new contingent (the 4th) boarded Kenya Airways flight 7681 which is expected to arrive at Toussaint Louverture International Airport in the morning this Thursday in Port-au-Prince.
With the number of Kenyan soldiers of the 4th contingent, the Kenyan force will amount to 785 men to which must be added 150 Guatemalans, 78 Salvadorans, 6 Bahamians, 24 Jamaicans and 2 Belizeans, for a total force of the Mission of 1,045 men (and women).
