Haiti - Disinformation : Denial by Kenyan Commander Godfrey Otunge
Godfrey Otunge, the Kenyan Commander of the Multinational Mission for Security Support (MMSS) formally denies "erroneous and malicious" propaganda circulating on various online media, disseminated by individuals who have understood that with the start of decisive operations, the days of the gangs are numbered.

These individuals are spreading false information according to which the MMSS has lost soldiers in Kenskoff. "I would like to reiterate that the Mission has not lost any of its men in the clashes with gangs in Kenskoff. On the contrary, the MMSS, jointly with the Haitian National Police (PNH), has taken over the relay station in the region, which is now well secured."

These malicious individuals are also spreading false information to the effect that members of the MMSS and PNH officers have been victims of friendly fire. "This is totally FALSE, given that the PNH and MSS have trained together and continue to conduct joint operations without being disturbed by this disinformation" Otunge says

The latest attempt at disinformation claims that Commander Godfrey Otunge, criticizes the operations and places the blame on the PNH "I want to clarify that the working relationship between the DG of the PNH, Normil Rameau, and myself Godfrey Otunge, Commander of the MMSS Forces, has always been and remains cordial and strong. We plan and organize security operations together and share resources for maximum impact."
