Davalis Octavius, Minister of Youth and Sports, met with Ms. Galy Amazan, Member of the Normalization Committee of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), as well as Patrick Massénat, Secretary General of the said committee.

The discussions focused on the major challenges of Haitian football as well as the need to allow athletes to develop in better conditions in order to help them achieve much greater performances, worthy of their merits and the expectations of the Nation.

Among the strategic points discussed were the holding of the national first division championship, support for clubs, the sporting deadlines of the national selections during the year 2025 as well as the resources necessary to ensure rigorous preparation in accordance with international standards.

The allocations from FIFA and CONCACAF intended for the Normalization Committee were also examined with a view to optimizing its management and strengthening the competitiveness of national football.

In a concrete support approach, Minister Octavius ​​announced the granting of financial support of 15 million Gourdes for the national teams. She also expressed her willingness to include, as part of the amending budget, additional assistance to support the organization of the national championship. Administrative procedures have already been initiated and discussions are continuing in order to ensure, as soon as possible, the delivery of the subsidy check to the FHF.

In addition, a joint committee, composed of representatives of the Ministry and the FHF, will be responsible for supervising the work to be carried out at the Parc Saint-Victor in Cap-Haitien in order to allow this infrastructure to benefit from the technical support of the Normalization Committee while strengthening the reception and supervision capacities of the national teams.
