Haiti - FLASH : Offensive of the PNH, with drones and explosives

Saturday, March 1st, 2025, a large-scale operation involving several specialized units and offensive drones is underway in Bas-Delmas in the territory of Jimmy Chérizier alias "Barbecue".

As part of this operation, several bandits have already been fatally injured and heavy weapons and ammunition seized.

The heavy equipment team of the Haitian National Police (PNH) was mobilized to clear the streets, allowing the population to move around and resume their activities.

For the first time, the PNH used drones capable of dropping explosives on identified targets, a strategy that would have made it possible to neutralize several members of the gang. Asked about this new strategy, the PNH spokesperson said that in this fight against terrorists "everything is allowed".

According to several sources, a vehicle transporting "Barbecue" was the target of an explosive drone attack. Rumors are circulating that Barbecue was injured, but no official source has confirmed this information...

Security forces are mobilized, a permanent presence has been declared. Lately, the National Police has been fighting on several fronts against gangs to liberate occupied territories and dismantle criminal gangs throughout the country.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, the State will not give in to terror. "Haitian people, keep hope : the Government stands by your side in these difficult times. Victory against the gangs is underway. Haiti will take back its destiny !"
