Haiti - FLASH : The Director of the Belladère Customs Office denies (Video)
In a press release, Ronald Nocia, Director of the Belladère Customs Office, reacted strongly to the allegations made against him by Frédéric Occéan, Delegate of the Center Department, through a video circulating on social networks, suggesting that the Director of the Belladère Customs Office had made several containers containing weapons and ammunition disappear, which had been brought into the national territory and stored at the Belladère customs. The delegate also added that the Director of the Belladère Customs Office had tried to bribe him by offering him a sum of 250,000 Gourdes in order to keep this information secret.

The Director of the Belladère Customs Office totally denies these fallacious allegations that are detrimental to his reputation. He also rejects the statements made according to which he had sent his driver to the delegate for any negotiation.

The act committed by the Delegate of the Department of the Center must not remain unpunished since it is an act of defamation punishable by law, underlines Ronald Nocia.

Director Nocia is in consultation with his legal advisers with a view to taking legal action, in the near future, against this defamer in order to shed light on this case. The Director of the Office has already informed the General Directorate of the General Administration of Customs so that a thorough investigation can be carried out as quickly as possible by the competent authorities in this matter.
