March 22, 2025, marks a memorable page in our sporting history the 100th anniversary of Haiti's first national football team. March 22, 1925 - March 22, 2025, a century of passion, commitment, and influence for Haiti.

On this day of celebration, Devalis Octavius, Minister of Youth and Sports, wishes to express "[...] her warmest congratulations to all generations of players who, with honor and dedication, have worn the national colors and inspired the nation over the decades.

A century of emotions, triumphs, and challenges has shaped this iconic team, inscribing its illustrious journey in the history of Haitian sport in golden letters.

The Ministry pays a heartfelt tribute to the memory of the deceased players, coaches, and technicians, whose sacrifices and dedication helped build this great sporting tradition. See also expresses her deep gratitude to those among us who continue to proudly and selflessly defend the Haitian flag.

Far beyond its performances on the field, the national team has established itself, over the generations, as a powerful force for unity and social cohesion. In the darkest moments of our history, it has been able to unite, instill hope, and revive a sense of national belonging [...]"

This centenary is celebrated with splendor thanks to the brilliant 3-0 victory against Azerbaijan in a friendly match, a success that heralds a promising future ahead of the 2025 Gold Cup and the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
