Les Cayes : Entrepreneur Jerson Borga Murdered
Entrepreneur Jerson Borga was shot dead by individuals riding a motorcycle in the town of Les Cayes. The businessman was hit by four bullets while driving his vehicle.

Brazil Visa : CAVB Closed

20 tons of vital aid landed in Port-au-Prince
A flight organized by the World Food Program (WFP) landed in Port-au-Prince, delivering 20 tons of vital aid: medicines, sanitation equipment, and shelter, to seven organizations fighting the internally displaced person crisis and the cholera epidemic. It also carried urgent laboratory equipment for the National Laboratory of Haiti.

Violent attack in Tabarre
The town of Tabarre was the scene of a violent attack by heavily armed individuals who attempted to take control of the Motorized Intervention Brigades (CBIM) base in Clercine. According to a police source, law enforcement faced simultaneous attacks in Tabarre 27 and Clercine, but the police managed to repel the criminals in both cases.

The cost of registering a business name has doubled
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) announces that, as of April 1st, 2025, the application fee for registering a business name has increased from 1,500 to 3,000 gourdes. This measure aims to improve service and better meet administrative requirements.

Partial Evacuation of Mirebalais Hospital
Amidst the insecurity and attacks by armed groups in the city, officials at the Mirebalais University Hospital have, as a precautionary measure, partially evacuated approximately fifty patients to other nearby hospitals. Dr. Réginald Ternier, Director of the Clinical Program that manages the HUM, emphasized that to date, the hospital has not suffered any direct gang attacks.
