Pope : Deep Sadness from the CECH

"[...] The Conference of Catholic Bishops of Haiti, united with all the people of God and all the men and women of Haiti, expresses its profound sadness at the passing of this pastor who touched hearts with his simplicity, humility, and love for the little ones. In a country racked by so much suffering, the message of Pope Francis, who always demonstrated his closeness to Haiti, was a source of hope, courage, and solidarity. In this time of mourning, we invite all the faithful to pray for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis and to give thanks to the Lord for his ministry in service to the Church and the world. A solemn Mass of suffrage will be celebrated in memory of the Holy Father. The date and location will be announced shortly. May the Lord, rich in mercy, welcome him into His eternal Peace."
