Royal Caribbean cruise line announced it would not return to its Labadee resort in Haiti as a precautionary measure due to ongoing violence and unrest on the island.

The cruise line announced it was removing the popular Labadee port of call from its itineraries for upcoming cruises until further notice. "Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily paused our upcoming visits to Labade [...] The safety and security of our guests, crew, and communities we visit are our top priority," Royal Caribbean said.

The facilities at its Labadee port of call offer travelers beach activities in the heart of Haiti's tranquil waters. From ziplining to water slides, Labadie also allowed travelers to explore Haiti's beaches in an intimate setting and organize family-friendly activities.
