Dajabón : Ultimatum to Illegal Haitians
Haitians in an irregular migration situation living in Dajabón, Dominican Republic, have five days to vacate their homes. After this deadline, they will be forcibly evicted, warns Santiago Riveron, the mayor of Dajabón, who specifies that Migration agents and the Dominican army will be mobilized as part of this operation.

Alert Fake AGD press release
The General Administration of Customs (AGD) wishes to inform the general public that a "Fake press release" numbered 000178 and dated May 15, 2025, is in circulation, implying that the AGD plans to hold a vehicle auction on May 21, 2025. The AGD declines all responsibility for this false press release and states that it is not holding any auctions and has not published any vehicle lists.

More than 1,600 schools closed
In Haiti, more than 1,600 schools were forced to close between January and April 2025 due to armed violence, according to the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Scam : Fake Capital Bank S.A. and CapInvest S.A. webpages
"Capital Bank S.A. and its subsidiary CapInvest S.A. are warning of the presence of fraudulent online webpages that impersonate them to promote fake investments. In a press release published on May 15, 2025, they stated that they have no connection with these deceptive offers and reiterated that no investment transactions are conducted outside of their official channels. It is crucial to remain vigilant and not share any personal information or make payments to unidentified third parties."

West : Tribute to 7 Teachers
On May 16, 2025, the eve of National Teachers' Day, the Minister of National Education, Antoine Augustin, paid tribute to seven teachers from the West department for their exceptional contribution to the development of education in Haiti. The ceremony was held at the Karibe Hotel. The honored teachers received plaques of honor and merit for their dedication and remarkable service: Jean Marc Charles, with a 46-year career, has been Principal of the Lycée Nationale de Pétion-ville for 26 years. Christophe Philippe Charles, with a 55-year career, has held a chair at Lycée Marie-Jeanne for 46 years. Elie Méus has a 44-year career, Marie Josette Bazin Benjamin has a 41-year career, Étienne François has a 39-year career, Lukernange Charles has a 34-year career, and Claudette Elysee Torchenot has a 28-year career.
