On Sunday, May 18, 2025, a shooting related to drug trafficking left five dead in Dajabón, Dominican Republic. Among the victims were two Haitians, known as "Science" and "Yony le Maçon". Three Dominicans were also killed, and two other Haitians were injured. DR : "Voluntary" Return of 119,000 Haitians: 119,000 Haitian nationals in an irregular migration situation living in the Dominican Republic returned "voluntarily" to Haiti between January and April 2025, the Dominican government announced. Losses in the ranks of "Viv Ansanm" On Tuesday, May 20, several members of the "Viv Ansanm" coalition were fatally injured during an operation by the Haitian National Police (PNH) in Mirebalais (Central Haiti), according to a police source. The operation took place in the town of "Dlo Chod", near Carrefour Péligre. Firearms and ammunition were seized. Kenscoff : Resumption of Activities in the City Center The resumption of activities in the city center and in several rural areas reflects the victory of law enforcement in Kenscoff. Jean Massillon, the city's mayor, welcomes the reopening of the Peace Court, the health center, and the DGI office. In addition, commercial bank branches and the public market have resumed operations, reflecting a resurgence in economic activity. Liancourt and Petite Rivière Liberated Liancourt and Petite Rivière were also liberated by law enforcement. Many residents returned to their homes in neighborhoods under law enforcement control.
