After 23 years of service, including 18 years as Director of the National Bureau of State Examinations (BUNEXE), Renan Michel is retiring down from his position. Despite the challenges, he believes that the BUNEXE has supported all the reforms implemented by the Ministry. In this regard, he highlighted recent achievements such as the online registration of candidates for State examinations and the online delivery of graduation certificates.

"At the BUNEXE, we have no room for error. It is one of the Ministry's key bodies. We are not here to please people, but to apply principles in the interest of the Republic," reiterated Renan Michel, who expressed confidence in the ability and integrity of his successor, Osny Jean Marie, who was his deputy for 18 years.

Osny Jean-Marie was installed in his new position this week during a ceremony attended by Inspectors General, several senior Ministry officials, family members, and friends. The ceremony was presided over by Augustin Antoine, Minister of National Education.

In his opening remarks, Minister Antoine drew the audience's attention to the importance of the BUNEXE (National Education and Training Office), one of the Ministry's key entities, which primarily deals with the organization of State examinations.

"I am here this morning to install the new Director of the BUNEXE with pleasure. This is a change in continuity, not a break. Because the outgoing and incoming Directors have extensive experience working together."

Osny Jean Marie assured that he would do his best to lead BUNEXE with a high sense of responsibility and commitment, while drawing on his 30 years of cumulative experience within this office. "This moment is an honor for me, but also a challenge that pushes me to redouble my efforts to contribute with all of you to building a better future for our youth and our society." He expressed his awareness of the challenges that accompany this position. However, he believes that far from discouraging him, these challenges should, on the contrary, stimulate him to find innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions.

"In this regard, my commitment will be to continue the work begun, strengthen ongoing initiatives, and propose reforms that are part of a medium- and long-term strategic vision."
