![]() Haiti - Education : Focus on Technical and Vocational Training 15/06/2025 09:43:09
This workshop is part of the Joint Education Sector Review (JERS) process and marks the final stretch in a series of thematic reviews initiated to assess the implementation of the Ten-Year Education and Training Plan 2020-2030. In his opening remarks, Dickel Delvariste, Director General of the INFP, welcomed the holding of this strategic meeting, emphasizing the crucial role of TVT in the country's economic and social development. He also emphasized the importance of support from technical and financial partners in the implementation of the national vocational training policy. For his part, Eric Voli Bi, UNESCO Representative in Haiti, praised the efforts made in this evaluation process, which is both retrospective and prospective, and based on mutual accountability (a tool that allows partners to understand each other's contributions and hold each other accountable for the commitments they make). He reiterated UNESCO's commitment to working alongside the Ministry in this critical initiative. Taking the floor, Yves Roblin, Director General of the Ministry, emphasized the concrete priorities ahead : differentiating between general and technological secondary education programs, planning for the 2025-2026 school year, and disseminating the curriculum guidance framework. The aim of this 8th thematic review was to sustainably strengthen the technical and vocational training subsector in Haiti. HL/ HaitiLibre
