Haiti - Economy : HAIFEX, 1st edition of the Women's Entrepreneurship Fair 26/06/2025 10:33:02
HAIFEX aims to position women's entrepreneurship as a key driver of recovery and inclusive and sustainable economic development in Haiti. HAIFEX also places a special emphasis on start-ups and business projects led by women. Over two days, visitors will have the opportunity to discover approximately 70 exhibitors showcasing their products and services. This event will feature panel discussions, inspiring masterclasses, culinary demonstrations, and presentations of innovative products. A fashion show will showcase the creativity and expertise of Haitian women, while a national competition for women's entrepreneurship projects will showcase the most promising initiatives. National Entrepreneurship Competition : Open to women-led businesses, whether in the start-up or development phase, the competition will honor women's initiatives in three key sectors : • Manufacturing Industries • Creative Industries • Digital Technologies and Services The call for applications is open until June 30, 2025, on the official website : www.haifex.org . Five projects will be preselected per category. The finalists will receive pitch training on July 1st, before presenting their projects to a panel of judges during the show. Three prizes of 1 million gourdes each will be awarded to the best business creation or development project in each category, including six months of support, mentoring, and coaching.
