A New National Airline

After IBC Airways, driven by the ambition to diversify its national offering, Haiti is preparing to welcome a new national airline. "Trogon Airways" which will connect the country's main urban centers: Port-au-Prince, Cap-Haïtien, and Les Cayes. On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Ernst Étienne, the Director of the new airline, visited the Antoine Simon Airport in Les Cayes to launch the process of setting up the company's offices. DR : The US Embassy is no longer issuing B1/B2 visas to Haitians

The Embassy of Haiti in the Dominican Republic informs that the United States Embassy has decided to no longer approve B1/B2 visa applications (which primarily cover business and tourist stays) for Haitian nationals, whether they hold diplomatic, official, or regular passports. This decision follows the enactment of the new law "Restricting the Entry into its Territory of Nationals of Certain Countries, Including Haitians, in Order to Protect the United States Against Foreign Terrorists and Other Threats to National Security..."

Studies for New Cities

Red Tilapia Hatchery

Completion of the restoration by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) of a red tilapia hatchery in Lagon aux Bœufs, east of Fort-Liberté (Northeast Dept.), thanks to the support of the European Commission's Directorate-General for International Partnerships. This work will help restart fry production locally.

PNH : Equipment Donation to BOID

"Fifth delivery of tactical and personal protective equipment to the PNH. More than 550 items were donated to the Departmental Operations and Intervention Brigade (BOID), strengthening its capabilities and enabling this special force to combat insecurity and crime throughout the country. This donation was made possible thanks to the generosity of the Canadian people and Global Affairs Canada," said Cristobal Dupouy, Special Representative of the OAS Secretary General in Haiti.
