Weapons : 9 Senators (D) Write to Rubio

9 Democratic senators, including Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, are calling on the Trump administration to lift the lid on arms exports to Haiti since 2021. In a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, they are demanding the publication of a detailed list of authorized weapons, the Haitian recipients involved, and the safeguards in place to prevent these weapons from falling into the hands of gangs.

One BOID police officer killed, two others injured

A police officer from the Departmental Operations and Intervention Brigade (BOID) was killed and two others seriously injured during an armed attack on the night of July 24-25 against the Téléco facility in Kenscoff. The slain officer was part of the 33rd class of the PNH. Two vehicles were also set on fire, including a light armored vehicle belonging to the Haitian National Police (PNH) and another belonging to the BSAP. This attack came in retaliation for a major operation conducted earlier by the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the Task Force against armed groups operating in the area. Law enforcement has already regained control of the area.

FAd'H : Equipment Donation from Mexico

The Mexican Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AMEXCID) has donated 1,000 pieces of personal protective equipment to the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H).

14,885 people fled Dessalines and Verrettes

14,885 people, or more than 3,400 families, were forced to flee their homes after a wave of armed attacks on July 16, 2025, in the municipalities of Dessalines and Verrettes (department Artibonite). The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warns of a critical humanitarian situation.

Iranians would like to recruit Nazon

An Electoral Chair at the UEH

Friday, July 25, 2025, the official launch of the "Chair of Law and Administration of Electoral Operations in Haiti" is an initiative of the State University of Haiti and the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP). The two institutions signed a partnership agreement for the occasion, which aims to strengthen training and research in the management of electoral processes in the country. This project aims to train executives in electoral professions and strengthen institutional capacity in the country.
