9 Democratic senators, including Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, are calling on the Trump administration to lift the lid on arms exports to Haiti since 2021. In a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, they are demanding the publication of a detailed list of authorized weapons, the Haitian recipients involved, and the safeguards in place to prevent these weapons from falling into the hands of gangs. One BOID police officer killed, two others injured A police officer from the Departmental Operations and Intervention Brigade (BOID) was killed and two others seriously injured during an armed attack on the night of July 24-25 against the Téléco facility in Kenscoff. The slain officer was part of the 33rd class of the PNH. Two vehicles were also set on fire, including a light armored vehicle belonging to the Haitian National Police (PNH) and another belonging to the BSAP.
